REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, YOGYAKARTA -- The DIY Covid-19 Handling Task Force has again reported the addition of positive cases of Covid-19 with a significant number. At least, 280 new cases were reported in DIY on February 6th.

Bantul Regency contributed 47 cases, Yogyakarta City contributed 46 cases, Kulonprogo Regency contributed 24 cases, and Gunungkidul Regency contributed 10 cases.
Most of the new cases were a history of tracing close contacts of positive cases that had been previously reported, which was 170 cases. However, the other 110 new cases were self-examination history.
Head of the Public Relations and Protocol Section of the DIY Secretariat, Ditya Nanaryo Aji said that all the new cases reported today were the result of the examination of 9,814 people. Meanwhile, the critical bed occupancy rate (BOR) at the Covid-19 referral hospital is currently reported to be 8.51 percent. The total critical bed prepared is 141 beds, so the beds used are 12 beds. "Non critical BOR is 12.95 percent or 145 beds are used out of a total of 1,120 beds provided," said Ditya.
This is the second time in 2022 that the number of Covid-19 cases in DIY is above 200. On February 4, an additional 273 cases were reported.
